Gothic Ritual Cave – Real-Time Environment

A small real-time environment created in Unity, based on a concept brief from Fireproof Studios.

The scene was built using a modular workflow, with a strong focus on lighting and atmospheric depth. The ritual circle acts as the primary focal point, framed by warm candlelight, light shafts, and layered set dressing to guide the eye. Subtle narrative details, such as blood stains, moss growth, and decay, were added to help ground the scene and suggest its history.

Lighting was baked using Bakery GPU Lightmapper, with emissive materials and decals used to enhance readability and separation. Assets were designed with real-time constraints in mind, utilising reusable materials and optimised geometry.

Any feedback on lighting contrast or material variation is welcome — always looking to iterate!
